Summer Learning Opportunities

Gower teachers are hosting 3 summer learning opportunities at Indian Prairie Public Library.  Register at calendar.ippl.info, by calling (630) 887-0718, or at the “Kids & Teens Ask Us” Desk.  Please register two weeks before each event unless otherwise noted.


Simply Sewing: Tuesday, June 12, 1-3pm. For grades 4-6.  Bring a T-shirt to create a tote bag or pillow.  Presented by Ms. Dunn from Gower West and Mrs. Murray from Gower Middle.


Stories in Action: Wednesday, June 13, 1-3pm. For grades 2-4.  Activities include building spider webs and catapults.  Presented by Mrs. Bjork and Mrs. Nowak from Gower West.


bookARTmark: Monday, June 25, at 2pm. Grades 3-5. Create your own bookmark using recycled paint swatches.  Presented by Mrs. Donahue from Gower Middle.
